Easy to make vegan bacon substitute

This recipe is so easy to make and only requires a few simple ingredients: tofu, soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free), liquid smoke, maple syrup, ground pepper, and salt.

First marinate the tofu in the soy sauce and liquid smoke for about 5 minutes. Then pan fry until golden brown, add the maple syrup and pepper and cook until all the maple syrup becomes sticky and caramelized.
